Transfer a License

• If you are repairing, updating, or replacing a system that had a valid IMG license, then this page is for you.

  Note: Beginning in 2007, we have modified the license approach. In most cases, your best approach is to simply re-install from the original media, or download the software that matches your product and version. You can access all available downloads here.   Do you need to transfer more than 1 license? Are you maintaining / supporting older systems? Would you rather get free upgrades? Are you doing a phased roll-out upgrade? Please be aware that customers on Annual Maintenance have many options and can typically maintain older versions or get free upgrades all without any licensing steps.   To transfer a license, a valid serial number and license key pair is required. You will find this information on your Certificate of Authenticity card included with your original software purchase.

  • First, if you have a CD or DVD, re-install the software from the Disc or download the original sofware here
  • Second, get the System ID # from the left side of the License Information Manager that pops up after install (it can also be found at Start, Programs, [IMG Product Name], Licensing Information)
  • Third, return to this support page and enter the NEW System ID # and your LAST Serial # / License Key. Your new Serial # and License Key will be e-mailed to you within a few minutes.
