Wonderware to integrate IMG’s My-T-Touch® in its automation systems

CHATSWORTH, CA. January 28, 2005 -- IMG, the primary supplier of onscreen keyboards, human machine interface designer tools, and pointing device enhancement utilities announced today that it begun delivering its software to Invensys/Wonderware. Wonderware becomes the latest in a series of automation manufacturers to integrate IMG’s My-T-Touch product with its automation systems.

My-T-Touch (My-Typing-Touch Keyboard) offers more than 200 programmable U.S. and international 3D onscreen keyboards and panels, can import custom panels from IMG’s Build-A-Board Keyboard Designer Tool, and is fully integrateable into a clients hardware / software platform via IMG’s Developers Kit. The main focus of the product is to integrate a low level user interface into any pen, tablet, or touchscreen based systems or applications as an alternative to the physical keyboard or membrane panel. It is ideal for use in environments such as automation, handheld, instrumentation, kiosks, medical, military, rugged, whiteboards, or other extremely clean, dirty, or hazardous interactive user environments. A thin client version for Citrix / MS Terminal Server is available.

The latest release of My-T-Touch provides full support for Windows 98 thru Vista, including XP Embedded platforms. Prior releases required different products for different Windows versions. This update allows IMG's OEMs and VARs to integrate a single product into their systems, regardless of the Windows platform they choose.

"My-T-Touch provides the perfect complement to Wonderware's automation systems. Being written at the Windows Kernel level, unlike onscreen user interfaces developed in a database, browser, active-x, java, or high-level tools such as Visual Basic, it offers complete control over all Windows functions and applications including network logon, passwords, user input, and ID authentication, without conflicts with the operating system, other applications, or the hardware. It’s easy to show or hide the keyboards and unlike physical keyboards or membrane panels, is not subject to vandalism or accidental damage." said Jerry Hussong, IMG’s vice president of sales and marketing.

The IMG My-T-Touch, Touch, Pen, and OnScreen product line offers clients the ability to use pre-built layouts or create their own, via IMG’s Build-A-Board Keyboard Designer Tool, and present the user with only the necessary interaction. Keys and Panels can be added or removed from the user interface thereby limiting the user input and options in accordance with the clients needs. The products also works with any serial, usb, or PS/2 pointing device, making them equally useful in a wide variety of non pen, tablet, or touchscreen based environments.

My-T-Touch retails for $99.95. Private label, OEM, and custom versions are available. Additional information is at http://www.My-T-Touch.com

About Invensys / Wonderware

Wonderware, a business unit of British-based Invensys plc, was established in April 1987, to develop and market human-machine interface (HMI) software products for use on IBM PC and compatible computers in industrial and process automation applications.

The founders' design goals were to create object-oriented, graphical tools that adhered strictly to the Microsoft Windows standard and provided the ease of use, sophisticated graphics and animation, product performance, quality and reliability previously unavailable in HMI products.

As the pioneer in the use of Windows in factory automation, Wonderware fundamentally changed application development for manufacturing users and transcended the competition to become the leading independent supplier of software for industrial automation. From the introduction of its flagship HMI product in 1989 until early 1993, the company had no Windows-based competition.
